Clinical Experience

Dr. Wegner spent the last eight years practicing in his hometown of Omaha, Nebraska, where he became a leading specialist in minimally invasive foot and ankle surgery, including bunion corrections, hammer toe repairs, and fusion procedures.

During this time, he also:

  • Served as a team physician for Creighton University (NCAA Division I – Big East Conference)

  • Trained orthopedic surgery residents from the University of Nebraska on their foot and ankle rotation

Now based in Irvine, California, Dr. Wegner continues to provide expert, personalized orthopedic care to patients across Orange County.

Personal Life

Dr. Wegner lives in Irvine with his wife and their two daughters. When not in the clinic or operating room, he enjoys spending time outdoors hiking, running, and skiing. At home, he’s recently become an expert in Harry Potter and Wild Kratts—thanks to his daughters—and is an avid fan of college basketball and USC football.
